Speak Life: A message from Enduring Faith Ministry

November 6, 2013

This is the day which the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24).

The Bible declares that, “life and death are in the power of the tongue” (Proverbs 18:21). The Bible also declares, “make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else”(1Thessalonians 5:15). We must understand, that there will be “life lessons” everyday that will question our identity and our commitment to God. It is in those lessons, where we will truly find out what we’re made of and what value we place on our salvation. We must rise to a level of maturation, that no matter what happens, we will keep a continued vision of our faith in God through our trials and tribulations. Remember, these lessons aren’t there to destroy us, as most of us think. These lessons are to strengthen us and to use them to make an indelible testimony for others to follow. Just remember, the natural response to adversity is to escape it, but God uses trouble to mature His people. “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him”(James 1:12).

Today and everyday, let us do what God needs us to do. Speak life to all that we encounter. Remember that “pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones” (Proverbs 16:24).

Let our smiles shine through, no matter what life’s lesson may be. And let the world know, that God has saved and forgiven us through His grace and mercy.

Father God

we thank You. we praise You.

Father, we ask today and everyday that You help us to be kind to one another. Father, we ask that You help us to lift each others spirits and that we extend our hands to give in the times of need. Father, help us to be living epistles for one another, so that no one believes that they are alone. Father, we all have been wounded. Father, give us the strength to be a wounded helper and not wounded hurter, so that we all have the chance to heal. And we will be forever mindful to give You all of the honor, praise and glory, as we ask these things humbly in Your Son, our Savior; Jesus’ name.

  1. This is a good word for me today….speak life. The challenges that I am encountering has caused my mouth to be a bit testy and this is confirmation. My brother told me the other day during one of our deep discussions that i have to speak life into all of my situations. I am doing much better and believe it or not the stress of the job had a lot of effect on me. More than what I would admit or was willing to admit. God always gives you an on time word in due season.
